Bio

This is a role-playing journal for the character Kara Thrace from Battlestar Galactica. Kara Thrace and other Battlestar Galactica characters do not belong to me, and I am making no money from this endeavor.

Captain Kara Thrace

Captain Kara Thrace is originally from the planet Caprica, which was destroyed by Cylons. She was, at the time of the attacks, attending a ceremony on the soon-to-be-decommissioned battleship Galactica. Kara is a Viper pilot and her callsign is Starbuck. While her attitude is occasionally questionable and her personality is prickly at best, Kara is a gifted fighter and devoted to her Gods and her mission. Kara was "lost" during a mission fighting a Cylon Raider, and re-appeared with the certainty that she would be the one to lead the beleaguered humans to the fabled planet Earth.

Kara has had a previous relationship with Sam Anders, with whom she had a short-lived and turbulent marriage. She also had an even shorter affair with her fellow pilot, Lee Adama (Apollo). She has an odd relationship with the Cylon Leoben Conoy, who is convinced they share a destiny and that they will one day be in love.

"You are the harbinger of death, Kara Thrace. You will lead them all to their end."

Kara's journal name comes from the Dylan Thomas poem Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night.

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

She is available for RP and is being played as close to season 4 canon as possible, up to the current midseason break.
